The area itself consists of two parts; to the north the former Bedouin village of Assalah and to the south El Qura bay where the internationally known hotels are located. Between these two areas lie a maze of streets, full of character and lined with colourful market shops where bartering for a bargain is order of the day! Follow the roads down to the bustling sea front promenade where you can take your pick from a surprising amount of bars, restaurants and shisha cafes.

Dahab holidays are a watersport enthusiasts dream, it is world-renowned for its windsurfing, due to the reliable winds that provide outstanding flat water conditions. There are many reefs immediately adjacent to the beachfront hotels, making diving and snorkeling very popular, especially considering the nearby dive sites of the Blue Hole and Canyon.
