Table Mountain National Park is one of the world's most famous landmarks and home to a vast and diverse amount of flora and fauna. On a walk up Table Mountain, it is not uncommon to come across the baboons, porcupines and Dassies (these little creatures look like squirrels without the long tails), which live on the sandstone cliffs of this majestic mountain.

Table Mountain is a hiker's dream, with over 1400 species of flora and fauna. The hike up is not easy, so it is advised that you take an experienced guide if you are a novice. Guided tours are available at 10am and noon every day.

If you're planning on walking with children, there are a series of easier routes in and around the Park, or if you're looking for an adventure, there are trails that will put even the fittest hikers to the test. Either way, on your way, you'll have spectacular views of the entire coastline and the city below.
